Yalta on Fire: 50 hectares of forest near the city caught fire due to Russian air defense operations

Airplanes and helicopters have been deployed to extinguish the fire. Strong gusts of wind are significantly hampering the efforts. Wind speeds in the mountainous terrain reach 15 m/s, causing the flames to spread rapidly to new areas.

As a reminder, explosions were heard on the night of August 21 in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Power outages occurred in some areas of the peninsula. According to local residents, a series of explosions took place in Simferopol. In just 20 minutes, more than 15 explosions were heard in the city.
