On the night of August 17, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian occupiers.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that a facility used for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack UAVs in the Hvardiyiske area of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea was struck. A fire was reported on the facility’s grounds

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command reported that an “Orion” ground-based drone control station in Novofedorivka, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was struck.

Ukrainian troops also struck a ground-based relay station used to control “Geran”/“Gerbera”-type strike UAVs in Olenivka in Russian-occupied Crimea. A communications and power supply station for the UAV relay station on the Tendrivska Spit in the Kherson region was also damaged

The press service added that the extent of the damage inflicted on the Russian army is being assessed.

As a reminder, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the “Kamensky Plant” in Russia. Ukrainian defense forces destroyed two workshops and damaged four others. The chemical plant in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Oblast, is one of the largest enterprises in southern Russia, producing gunpowder for ammunition.
