In Novokuybyshevsk, Samara Oblast, Russian Federation, according to preliminary reports, the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery was attacked again on the night of August 22. The facility is one of the largest oil refineries in the Volga region and is part of the Russian oil company Rosneft.

This was reported by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.

The Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery is located in the city of Novokuybyshevsk in the Samara Region. The plant was launched in 1951. It became one of the first Soviet plants to produce jet fuel, as well as rocket and automotive lubricants.

Currently, the plant has the capacity to process approximately 8–9 million metric tons of crude oil per year. It produces automotive, aviation, and marine fuels, lubricant components, bitumen, coke, and other petrochemical products.

As a reminder, on the night of August 19–20, drones attacked the TANECO oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk and the “Tamanneftegaz” oil terminal in the village of Volna in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
