The Ostroh Bible on Mount Athos: A researcher has discovered three previously unknown copies
On Mount Athos in Greece, researcher Serhiy Shumylo discovered three previously unknown copies of the Ostroh Bible, printed in 1581. The discovery expanded the list of Ukrainian early printed books preserved worldwide and attested to Ukraine’s long-standing spiritual and cultural ties with the monasteries of Mount Athos.
