On August 6, Russia struck a dry cargo ship carrying Ukrainian wheat. A fire broke out on the ship, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.

This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The enemy continues to attack civilian vessels in the Black Sea, particularly in the Odesa seaport.

This time, a dry cargo ship flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau and loaded with Ukrainian wheat was damaged. The attack damaged the hull, and a fire broke out on the ship.

Kipper emphasized that such strikes once again demonstrate the systematic nature and cynicism of Russian terror, as well as the aggressor’s threat to both the lives of civilians and global food security as a whole.

As a reminder, on August 4, Russia launched a missile strike on the outskirts of Odesa. The strike hit a crowded area near a market, leaving three people injured.
