Massive nighttime attack by Russia: one person killed, 11 wounded

On the night of August 26–27, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and strike drones. As a result of the attacks in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions, several people were injured, and a woman was killed in the Sumy region.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported the attack.
Sumy Region
On the night of August 27, Russian troops launched a massive strike on the Romny community.
Hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded. A 66-year-old woman was killed when a residential building was struck. Four people were injured.
Kharkiv Region
Overnight, a Russian drone struck the balcony of the 4th floor of a high-rise residential building in the Industrial District of Kharkiv.
A 30-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction. Medical personnel provided him with the necessary assistance.
Zaporizhzhia Region
In Zaporizhzhia, at least three people—two men and a woman—were injured as a result of a nighttime Russian attack. A car and several buildings were damaged.
In total, over the past 24 hours, seven people, including three children, were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih with two ballistic missiles. An industrial facility was targeted. According to preliminary reports, two people were wounded in the strike; their injuries are not serious.
Kherson Region
At 3:00 a.m., the occupiers attacked Kherson with a drone. An 88-year-old woman was injured.
Kyiv
Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles.
In Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, debris was reported to have fallen on the grounds of an educational institution. Details regarding possible consequences and casualties are being clarified.
Odesa Region
Overnight Russian attacks in Odesa damaged infrastructure, an educational institution, and a high-rise residential building. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties.
As a reminder, a series of explosions rocked occupied Donetsk. At least 13 strikes were recorded in the city. It is believed that one of the possible targets may have been the command post of the Russian 51st Army, which is engaged in combat operations in the Donetsk region.
