President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported an assassination attempt on Ihor Obolienskyi, commander of the “Charter” Brigade.
He made this statement on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the attacker and his accomplice have been detained.
The president spoke with Obolienskyi and received a briefing from Oleksandr Poklad regarding the incident. All necessary procedural steps are currently being taken.

The President thanked Ihor Obolensky for his service and urged him to strike even harder against the occupiers.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing Timur Tkachenko as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. Decrees regarding changes to the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have also been published on the website of the President of Ukraine.
