Translation error: “Madyar” clarified his statement about “200 missiles”

Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, appealed to the Ukrainian media and journalists to refrain from using manipulative and misleading headlines that cause panic among the public.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
The reason for the inaccurate reports was a translation error in an interview with the American news agency Associated Press.
He noted that Russia is indeed working on the capability to scale up a simultaneous massive strike to 200 units. However, this refers to a combined salvo of various types of missiles (cruise, air-launched, sea-based, etc.) launched from different platforms, and not exclusively ballistic weapons.
A nuance regarding a simultaneous missile salvo, the current capability of which stands at over 70 (77) missiles of VARIOUS types launched from VARIOUS launchers, ships, and aircraft: the adversary is working to increase its simultaneous salvo capacity to up to 200 units, but this does not apply exclusively to ballistic missiles, as was interpreted and reported in the headlines of leading Ukrainian publications

He emphasized that the publication had already corrected the original text after the error was discovered.
As a reminder, AP previously reported that Russia is expanding its capabilities for massive missile strikes against Ukraine. Currently, the Russian military is capable of simultaneously launching up to 77 ballistic missiles, and plans to increase this number to 200 in the future.
