Russia struck Pechenigi State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast

On the morning of Tuesday, August 18, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Pechenigi in the Kharkiv region. About 10 people were killed and others were wounded as a result of the enemy attack. It is also reported that civilian infrastructure sustained damage.

Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported this on Telegram.

The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that emergency rescue operations at the site of the Russian missile strike in the Kharkiv region have been completed. Ten people were killed as a result of the enemy attack, and the number of injured has risen to 18.

Updated: 10:58 a.m.:

Previously, according to the Regional State Administration, the number of injured had risen to 17. Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office provided details on the types of missiles launched by the enemy. The Russians attacked the village around 08:40. Preliminary reports indicate that the invaders used two small “Banderol” cruise missiles.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the loss of life.

The State Emergency Service’s press office released photos showing the aftermath of the Russian strike.

Eight people were previously reported injured. Medical personnel are providing them with necessary assistance. The strike also damaged 10 private homes, a café, a post office, a store, and at least seven vehicles.

As a reminder, 73 reports of damage to homes and infrastructure were received in Zaporizhzhia Oblast due to Russian attacks. In Sumy Oblast, an enemy drone struck a truck.
