Russia struck a train near Izyum in the Kharkiv region: a fire broke out, and there are casualties

The number of people injured in the train attack has risen to 8. According to Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, another woman sought medical assistance.

Earlier reports indicated seven wounded, including a 62-year-old man in critical condition. All the victims have been hospitalized and are being treated by our medical staff.

The Izyum Military Administration reported that on September 9, at 10:00 a.m., the enemy struck a train at a railway station near the village of Iskra with a “Shahed”-type unmanned aerial vehicle.

The press service of the Izium Military-Civilian Administration reported that emergency medical teams are working at the site of the strike, and the injured are receiving the necessary assistance.

Information regarding the consequences of the attack is being clarified.

As a reminder, the aggressor country is increasingly targeting railway infrastructure and passenger trains.

On September 8, Russia struck the “Dnipro–Zaporizhzhia” train. Before the attack, the train was stopped due to a detected threat, and passengers were evacuated. However, the conductor was killed.

Russian troops carried out two precision strikes with “Shahed” drones on the “Kyiv–Sumy” train as it approached Sumy. The train was stopped in time, and all passengers were evacuated. There were no casualties.

In the Kherson region, Russian troops attacked a passenger train with several drones. Two diesel locomotives were damaged as a result of the strikes. A 55-year-old railway employee was injured; she was hospitalized with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds.
