Saturday, July 25, has been declared a day of mourning for the victims in the Kyiv region

This is stated in a statement from the Regional State Administration.

On July 24, the enemy launched an attack on the Kyiv region, killing 10 people and wounding about 100. Every such loss is a source of grief for the families and the entire region.

On the Day of Mourning, the National Flag of Ukraine and the flag of the Kyiv region will be flown at half-mast throughout the Kyiv region. Entertainment events will also be restricted.

As a reminder, on Friday, July 24, Russian troops reportedly carried out a targeted strike on a military training ground where an arms exhibition was taking place. The strike resulted in fatalities and significant damage.

At the same time, participants in the arms exhibition confirm the Russian strike on the training ground. According to them, there are currently not enough ambulance crews at the site of the attack. As is known, the announcement of the exhibition at the open-air training ground was freely available online.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the civilian facility targeted by Russia’s missile strike on July 24 is not under the jurisdiction of the Armed Forces. Ignat also reported that the Russian missile, which struck a facility in the Kyiv region during the attack, did not hit a military training ground but rather a private sports complex that has no connection to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rescue operations following the Russian missile strike have already been completed. Emergency responders extinguished fires in three private residential buildings and eight vehicles. Twenty-three private homes, two hotels, a restaurant, and 34 vehicles were damaged.
