A man was killed in a rocket attack in the Brovary District

In the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast, a man was killed and another person was injured as a result of a Russian attack. An industrial facility was also damaged, and a fire broke out there.

This was reported by Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, on Telegram.

In the Brovary District of the Kyiv region, a Russian attack resulted in the death of a man. Another man was injured and is currently in the hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care. 

According to Tkachenko, the strike damaged one of the industrial facilities. Emergency services are on the scene and are extinguishing the fire.

Ihor Sapozhko, the mayor of Brovary, provided a separate update on the consequences of the attack. According to him, the Russian strike caused an emergency situation with the power supply in the community. Residents of Brovary posted online that the power had gone out throughout the city. 

The mayor also noted that utility workers are awaiting an improvement in the security situation. Restoration work will begin once conditions allow them to work safely. Residents of the community were urged to refrain from sharing information.

As a reminder, throughout August 19, 2026, Russian troops shelled the Kherson region using aircraft, tube and rocket artillery, as well as various types of drones.
