Reports from the city indicate explosions and fires, particularly on the grounds of the Novorossiysk Bread Products Plant. Defense forces likely attacked Novorossiysk throughout the night of August 12, as Russian troops may have been planning to launch cruise missiles at Ukraine from there. According to Exilenova+, the drone attack on the port lasted from the beginning of the night until early morning.To counter the strike, Russian forces deployed mobile fire teams. There were also reports of drone activity near the Crimean Bridge.
