The Ukrainian Armed Forces have denied Putin’s claims that Kozacha Lopana in the Kharkiv region had been “captured”

This was reported by the 14th Army Corps.

The Ukrainian unit noted that, despite Russian claims, the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Derhachi community of Kharkiv Oblast remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, the situation in the area around the settlement remains tense and is marked by active combat operations. 

It is noted that since the start of active hostilities, enemy casualties in the Kozacha Lopan area have totaled 178 killed and 210 wounded. 

The 14th Army Corps added that the Defense Forces are in control of the situation in that sector. They urged the public to rely exclusively on official sources of information and not to fall for enemy disinformation campaigns.

As a reminder, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, commented on the Russian dictator’s reaction to the closure of Russian airspace. According to the Ukrainian official, Putin is “distorting reality,” which is a “time-honored propaganda tactic of Russian politicians.”

The day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that due to the war and drone activity, Russian airspace would become increasingly unsuitable for safe flights and would “de facto be closed.” At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine has no intention of attacking civilian aircraft.
