An 880-kilometer strike: Ukrainian defense forces struck a chemical plant in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

The operation to strike the enemy facility was carried out by operators from the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center in coordination with other components of the Armed Forces.

The distance from the border to the target was approximately 880 kilometers. The extent of the damage and the scale of the destruction are currently being assessed.

The “Tolyattikauchuk” plant is one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. It specializes in the production of synthetic rubbers, monomers, fractions, and high-octane gasoline additives. The plant’s products, particularly synthetic rubbers, are used by the aggressor to produce solid rocket propellant for tactical and ballistic missiles.

As a reminder, an attack was reported in Togliatti, Russia, on the night of September 12. Monitoring channels speculated that one of the targets that may have been struck could have been the “KuibyshevAzot” chemical plant—it and “Tolyattikauchuk” are located within the same industrial zone.
