Strike on Russian Air Defense and Radar Systems: Ukrainian Defense Forces Hit Targets in the Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast, and Perekop

On the night of August 8–9, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key Russian military targets in the south of the aggressor country and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military command, Ukrainian units struck the following targets:

  • Krasnodar Krai (Russian Federation): a position of the S-400 “Triumph” air defense missile system near Gelendzhik and a “Pantsir” air defense missile system in Yeisk were struck;
  • Rostov Oblast (Russian Federation): strikes were carried out against a “Tor” air defense system in Pudovoye, as well as against the “Kasta” radar station in Lantonovo and the “Podlyot” radar station in Golovatovka;
  • Temporarily Occupied Crimea: A logistics depot belonging to an enemy unit in Perekop was struck.

The extent of the damage inflicted on the occupiers and the final consequences of the strikes are currently being assessed.
