Ukraine has repatriated ten more soldiers who had been listed as missing in action

Ukraine carried out the second phase of its latest prisoner-of-war exchange. On Independence Day, ten more Ukrainian servicemen were successfully repatriated from Belarus.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.
Among those released were servicemen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard. A notable feature of this phase was that all ten servicemen had previously been considered missing in action. All of them were carrying out missions in the Donetsk region. Two servicemen had been listed as missing in action since 2024, and the other eight since 2025.
Thank you to everyone who works every day to bring our people home. We remember each and every one who remains in captivity. We are searching for each person by name. And we will do everything we can to free them and bring them home

After their release, the soldiers will receive the necessary medical care and support and undergo rehabilitation.
As a reminder, on August 19, Ukraine repatriated another 103 defenders from Russian captivity. Among those released were servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including members of the Territorial Defense Forces and the Navy, as well as the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service.
