Overnight, Russian troops launched ballistic missile strikes on the capital. The enemy targeted a railway depot and other railway facilities. As a result of the strikes, several Ukrzaliznytsia employees were killed.

This was reported by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, on Facebook.

According to him, the Russian ballistic strike claimed the lives of seven people, six of whom were company employees. In addition, Pertsovskyi added that one colleague is in the hospital with injuries, while dozens managed to take shelter.

There is extensive damage. We’ve been here on site since last night. Nearby is a workshop that’s been completely destroyed. Rescue workers are still putting out a number of fires. Traffic was closed on two sections of track, then reopened… It’s been an incredibly difficult night

As a reminder, the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of September 1 claimed the lives of eight people. Five more residents of the capital were injured. Civilian infrastructure and residential buildings in the capital were hit.
