Zelenskyy signs decree appoint ing commander of Ukraine's Medical Forces

This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 910/2026 issued by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Kostyantyn Humenyuk is a military surgeon, a colonel in the Medical Service, and the chief surgeon of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, he is highly respected among military personnel and trusted by the volunteer community.

In his new position, Humenyuk’s top priority will be to protect the lives and health of Ukrainian servicemembers.

The president made the decision to appoint Humenyuk in consultation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously appointed Sviatoslav Zayets as the new commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Ground Forces. He previously led the 20th Army Corps.
