The candidacy of People's Deputy Danil Getmantsev is reportedly being considered for the position of Prosecutor General to replace Ruslan Kravchenko.
"Ukrainska Pravda" reported on Getmantsev's possible appointment, citing its own sources in political circles.

Getmantsev is a People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” party and chair of the parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy. He is also a professor in the Department of Financial Law at the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2017, Getmantsev participated in the competition for the position of Supreme Court justice.
At the same time, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that his sources on the Tax Committee do not confirm the information about Getmantsev’s possible appointment.

As a reminder, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced his resignation. He explained his decision by saying he did not want the office of prosecutor general to be used in political conflicts.
