Zelenskyy called on parliament to immediately dismiss Prosecutor General Kravchenko: a vote is scheduled for September 15

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to this morning’s statement by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. In particular, the head of the Office of the Prosecutor General claimed that the true purpose of Operation "Carthage" was allegedly to gain access to materials from criminal proceedings involving the leaders and employees of NABU and the SAP, and subsequently to remove the Prosecutor General and halt the adoption of procedural decisions in these cases.

Davyd Arakhamia, head of the "Servant of the People" faction in the Verkhovna Rada, announced on his Telegram channel that the vote on the dismissal of Prosecutor General Kravchenko will take place tomorrow—September 15.
This Prosecutor General has only one option: resignation. That is exactly what I told him. Ukraine has seen all the reasons. If he considers this political pressure, let him call it that

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader called on lawmakers to support this dismissal without delay.
As a reminder, this morning, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he had signed a notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos for "forgery of documents". The second charge concerns a person close to Oleksandr Klymenko (head of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office).
Kravchenko emphasized that Operation "Carthage" was directed not only against him and added that prior to signing the charges, he had been “politically restrained by the president.”
