Twelfth day of protests: demonstrations calling for Fedorov's return continue in Ukraine

In addition to the key demand for Fedorov’s reinstatement, the protesters have drawn up a broader list of demands for the authorities:

• the appointment of a veteran as head of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs;
• the continuation of defense reforms;
• dialogue between the authorities and society.

Participants note that they plan to continue holding peaceful protests until the authorities respond.

As a reminder, on July 16, protests began in Kyiv, Lviv, and other major cities across Ukraine. The main reason was citizens’ opposition to the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from his post as Minister of Defense.

Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov officially confirmed that he was stepping down as Ukraine’s Minister of Defense. In his final address, he reported on the ministry’s achievements, thanked his team, the military, and international partners, and stated that he would continue to work on the development of defense technologies.
