People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko stated that regional mobilization centers are not authorized to conduct public alert drills during air raid alerts.

The MP wrote about this on Facebook.

According to him, the Temporary Investigative Commission received a response from the Ministry of Defense to its letter containing recommendations.

Compliance with civil defense alerts is mandatory for all persons located within Ukraine.

The law does not grant military personnel serving in the TCC and SP alert teams the authority to stop, detain, or hold citizens in public places or to prevent them from proceeding to shelters while an “Air Raid Alert” signal is in effect.

According to Honcharenko, thanks to the TSK’s inquiry, there is now a clear answer: such actions are not provided for by law. The commission will continue its work to ensure that the actions of the TSK do not endanger the lives of citizens.

As a reminder, starting at 12:00 a.m. on September 10 in Kyiv, the rules for responding to air raid alerts, the operating rules for public transportation and businesses, and the curfew will be adjusted.
