Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal on the state of the power grid following the Russian attacks.
He announced this on his Telegram channel.
In his report, Shmyhal stated that Ukraine has the necessary equipment reserves, and power engineers are restoring electricity every day. However, the situation is most difficult in areas near the front lines and along the border with Russia.
The energy minister emphasized that the necessary equipment reserves have now been established.
Separately, they have identified which political, financial, and technical agreements are needed with partners in August and September—before the start of the heating season.
We are counting on the support of specific countries. For security reasons, we are not disclosing any details at this time
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
As a reminder, draft resolutions have appeared on the Verkhovna Rada’s website regarding the appointment of Yevhen Khmara as Minister of Defense and Andriy Sybiga as Minister of Foreign Affairs. A vote on these appointments is expected tomorrow.
