Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a military meeting with senior commanders.
The head of state wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
Following the discussions, the head of state announced plans for personnel changes in the Armed Forces, the approval of new special operations on Russian territory, and outlined tasks for Ukrainian diplomats regarding the procurement of air defense systems.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, together with Ihor Skybyuk and Yevgeniy Khmara, presented the president with a comprehensive vision for the transformation of military command.

Also during the meeting, current operations were adjusted and new operations were approved involving the use of long-range weapons and medium-range strikes against Russian targets.
In addition, the president emphasized that protecting cities from ballistic and missile attacks remains a key priority; therefore, he expects the Ukrainian diplomatic team to deliver concrete results in securing new air defense systems and associated ammunition from international partners.
As a reminder, on August 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received reports from Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi and discussed Russia’s responses to the strikes on Ukraine with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty.
