“We have no intention of leaving Donbas”: Zelenskyy spoke about the deployment of air defense systems around Moscow and North Koreans in the Russian military

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia has established three rings of air defense around Moscow by deploying air defense systems from various regions of the country. At the same time, North Korea is gaining experience in modern warfare under Russia’s guidance.
He made this statement in an interview during the “Yedyni Novyny” telethon.

According to him, Russian troops are pulling air defense forces from “all corners of their vast territory” to reinforce the defenses around Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The president noted that following Russia’s strikes on Ukrainian logistics, Ukraine carried out a counter-logistics operation, inflicting, in his words, losses amounting to one trillion rubles.
It was a very successful operation by Ukrainian forces. It involved the Armed Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Security Service, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Today, we act in unison when carrying out corresponding “dip-strikes” and “middle-strikes.”

Increased Pressure from Russia
Zelenskyy warned that Russia may intensify cyberattacks, missile strikes, and other forms of intimidation, as the Russian leadership is unable to achieve victory in the war.
According to the president, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is considering various methods of covert mobilization, including through shadow contracts and restrictions on leaving the country.
He needs to sell a victory. He will not achieve victory in Ukraine. He needs to seize the Donbas. We have no intention of leaving on our own. What can he sell as a victory?

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has no intention of voluntarily abandoning its territories or its people, as there are no guarantees that Putin will not attempt to continue his aggression.
North Korean military
Separately, the president stated that Russia plans to increase the presence of North Korean citizens on its territory. According to him, this involves the possible presence of 30,000 to 50,000 North Koreans on Russian territory.
“They are studying this war, and if we’re talking about crises and escalations in another region—the Pacific Ocean—that could pose a threat to other Asian nations, then North Korea will undoubtedly gain experience in modern warfare under Russia’s watch,”

The president added that Ukraine has already found North Korean missiles on its territory. In his view, North Korea is gaining modern warfare experience and military technology from Russia.
The head of state called on South Korea to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine, particularly in the field of air defense. For its part, the Ukrainian side is ready to work toward a “Drone Deal.”
“We are open. We would very much like to receive support from South Korea to address the shortfall we are facing. These are air defense systems. And we are ready to work toward the ‘Drone Deal’ and other initiatives,”

According to the president, Ukrainian diplomats are already discussing the possibilities for such cooperation with their South Korean counterparts.
