According to a new survey, only 5% of internally displaced persons have received housing compensation, even though 57% of IDPs lost their homes in the occupied territories or in the combat zone.

Nearly 70% of internally displaced people have been away from their homes for more than two years, and 87% of displaced families have been forced to take at least one measure to cope with the situation. As of June 2026, there are approximately 3.9 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) remaining in Ukraine.
