On the morning of August 19, drones struck the Russian region of Bashkortostan. The attack damaged a production facility at an oil refinery.

This was reported by the Astra Telegram monitoring channel.

In Bashkortostan, one of the units at an unnamed oil refinery in the city of Ufa was hit.

The local governor stated that the affected unit was reportedly undergoing repairs and will be restored within a few days.

We have a small fire at one of the oil refineries. They are currently assessing the extent of the damage. Preliminary reports indicate that the fire occurred in a unit that was undergoing repairs. As always, any impact breaks pipes—there’s minor damage. I think they’ll have everything restored within a few days

Rady Khabirov
Governor of Bashkortostan

Earlier, Khabirov reported that a drone attack involving six unmanned aerial vehicles had been repelled in the region. Four of them were shot down, and one crashed in an industrial zone, causing a “small fire”.

It is reported that another drone struck a residential building in the Zaton neighborhood, where, according to Khabirov, “windows on the upper floors were damaged.”

According to an OSINT channel, the building in question is located 15 km from the industrial zone where the oil refinery is situated. It is believed that the drone was heading toward the oil refinery.

Bashneft facilities have repeatedly come under drone attack. In particular, it is known that on August 1, 2, and 5, drones attacked the Bashneft-Novoyl and Bashneft-UNPZ plants.

As a reminder, on the night of August 19, drones attacked a number of Russian regions. Explosions were heard in Novomoskovsk, Dzerzhinsk, and Ufa. According to local residents, strategic targets were hit.
