The Russian Federation’s attack on the Ukrainian military training ground may have been an attempt to “cast a shadow” on the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty.
Lieutenant General Vasyl Bohdan expressed this view during an appearance on “Apostrophe.”
According to him, it cannot be ruled out that the enemy is using intelligence agents and other means to discredit Drapatiy.
Bogdan recalled that Mykhailo Drapaty had previously voluntarily stepped down from his post as commander of the Ground Forces following a Russian strike on one of the training grounds.
As a reminder, on Friday, July 24, Russian troops reportedly carried out a targeted strike on a military training ground where an arms exhibition was taking place. The strike resulted in fatalities and significant damage. At the same time, participants in the arms exhibition confirmed the Russian strike on the training ground. According to them, there are currently not enough emergency medical teams at the site of the attack. As is known, the announcement of the exhibition at the open-air training ground was freely available online.
It was later reported that 10 people were killed in the attack, and about 100 people sustained injuries of varying severity.
