Since last night, efforts have been underway to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack on regions of Ukraine. The Russians struck critical infrastructure and residential buildings.
This is stated in a post by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel.
It is noted that on the night of August 27, Russia carried out a combined strike using drones and ballistic missiles.
The president noted that the Russians struck critical infrastructure in the Poltava, Sumy, and Kherson regions. In the Kharkiv region, residential buildings were targeted. In Kramatorsk, a cruise missile struck a high-rise building.
State Emergency Service units managed to rescue four people. Three people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, and two in Kryvyi Rih. A residential high-rise in Odesa was struck. In Chubynske, Kyiv Oblast, all necessary services have been mobilized to extinguish fires at industrial facilities following a drone strike

The President of Ukraine emphasized that Russia continues to invest in missiles and the expansion of the war. Therefore, more efforts are needed to counter this.
The President added that this week, European allies made important decisions to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
It is important that these be supplemented with additional ballistic defense packages, primarily through the PURL. Anything that strengthens our air defenses effectively saves the lives of Ukrainians every day. To deter Russia’s desire to continue the war, we need to effectively shoot down the missiles that Moscow is so desperate to use to keep the war going

As a reminder, Russian troops launched a massive drone strike on the Romny community in the Sumy region; Ukrainian forces destroyed some of the drones. A 66-year-old woman was killed in the attack, and four other people sought medical attention.
