Zelenskyy says Russian drone struck SBU headquarters, targeting Chief’s office in Kyiv

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that a Russian drone struck the main building of the Security Service of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, across from St. Sophia Cathedral.
The president wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the drone was aimed at the office of SBU Director Oleksandr Poklad, but the official himself was not there.
I spoke with SBU Director Oleksandr Poklad. Unfortunately, a Russian drone struck the SBU’s main building. All emergency services are on the scene.
The drone was aimed directly at the SBU head’s office in this building.
I instructed Poklad to respond to this attack in an adequate, forceful, and—if possible—reciprocal manner once everything is ready. Our military will support this response

As a reminder, a Russian attack in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district caused a fire in non-residential buildings. The “Zavertaylo” establishment near St. Sophia Cathedral was also damaged. Five people are known to have been injured.
