The Main Intelligence Directorate has confirmed that Russia is preparing for mobilization after the elections, – Zelenskyy

The head of state reported this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the mobilization plans are confirmed by internal Russian documents—it is scheduled for the fall, following a sham parliamentary election.

Putin’s plan is to create the appearance of Russian support for the war—all parties allowed to run oppose peace in one way or another. The Yabloko Party, the only one that has spoken out in support of peace, was barred from the elections.

After the so-called elections, Moscow plans an additional rapid mobilization of several hundred thousand people by the end of the year and the same number next year. This is in addition to contract recruitment.

The president noted that Ukraine is preparing for active measures to make it as difficult as possible for Russia to carry out these plans. He has assigned specific tasks to the intelligence agencies and special services.

In addition, he reported that the Ukrainian negotiating team has conveyed our proposals regarding peace talks to the American side. The U.S. may provide us with support in the form of air defense systems and will also “exert pressure on Russia.”

As a reminder, Russia’s Supreme Court disqualified the Yabloko party from the State Duma elections. It was accused of campaign violations, extremism, copyright infringement, and calls to violate Russia’s territorial integrity. Previously, Russian media had referred to this party as “the only anti-war party” among the parliamentary candidates.
