Yevhen Khmara, Ukraine's acting Minister of Defense, stated that Ukraine will continue to intensify its military and technological pressure on Russia.
He made this announcement following a conversation with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi.

According to him, this requires ensuring stable and flexible access for combat units to effective weapons systems—particularly long-range ones—as well as developing technologies and asymmetric solutions.
The goal remains unchanged—to ensure our army’s technological superiority over the Russian enemy and to save as many lives as possible through technological advancements

Khmara noted that Ukraine must scale up already effective solutions, including deep strike and middle strike capabilities, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other technologies that help save the lives of servicemembers while more effectively neutralizing the enemy.
He also reported that he and Drapatyi discussed their vision for the future of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to Khmara, their positions on the army’s further development align, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has endorsed this vision.

As a reminder, the head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, welcomed the decision to appoint Mykhailo Drapatyi. He emphasized that the army trusts the new commander-in-chief.
