Over the past 24 hours, on August 1, Russian forces launched massive strikes on the city of Kharkiv and 19 settlements in the Kharkiv region. The enemy used missiles, guided aerial bombs (KAB), and dozens of drones of various types. As a result of the enemy’s terror, 10 civilians were injured, including three children.

This was reported by Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Civilian casualties

As a result of enemy attacks, 10 people sustained injuries and trauma of varying severity:

  • In Kharkiv, three people experienced acute stress reactions: a 74-year-old man, as well as two children—a 13-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl.
  • In the Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv districts, five people were injured, including elderly women and men.
  • In the Lozivsky district, a 17-year-old boy was wounded by a direct hit.

All of the victims are receiving the necessary medical care.

Weapons Used and Infrastructure Damage

The occupiers launched strikes on the Shevchenkivskyi, Industrialnyi, Saltivskyi, and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv, as well as on other districts in the region. In total, over the past 24 hours, the enemy fired two missiles, three KABs, 14 “Geran-2” UAVs, and 8 “Molniya” UAVs, as well as 10 FPV drones and 24 unmanned aerial vehicles, the type of which is currently being determined.

As a result of the attacks, civilian infrastructure facilities sustained damage and destruction:

  • In Kharkiv: an apartment building, three warehouse buildings, a gas station, a car repair shop, a garage cooperative, and six cars.
  • In the region: 11 private homes in the Izyum district, three gas stations, an educational institution in Derhachi, a community center, an administrative building, and power lines were damaged.

In addition, an emergency medical vehicle, a passenger bus, and a hospital building in the Lozova District were damaged.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, on August 1, Russian troops carried out nearly a thousand strikes on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The invaders used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones of various types. As a result of the shelling, there was one fatality and one injury among the civilian population.

Also on August 1, the enemy launched a series of massive air, artillery, and drone strikes on the territories of the Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. As a result of the enemy’s terror, one person was killed, and another 43 civilians sustained injuries of varying severity.
