Nearly a thousand strikes in a day: One person killed and another wounded in Zaporizhzhia as a result of enemy shelling

Over the past 24 hours, on August 1, Russian troops carried out nearly a thousand strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The invaders used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones of various types. The shelling resulted in one civilian fatality and one civilian injury.
This was reported in the morning briefing by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
As a result of enemy attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district, one man was killed on the spot, and another sustained injuries of varying severity. Medical personnel are providing the injured man with the necessary care.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces carried out 954 strikes, with 54 settlements in the region coming under fire. The enemy launched a large number of drones.
According to the Regional Military Administration, Russian forces used the following weapons:
- 676 attacks by UAVs of various types (primarily FPV drones);
- 260 artillery strikes;
- 18 airstrikes.
In total, local services and law enforcement agencies received 30 reports of damage to and destruction of civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and private vehicles.
As a reminder, on the night of August 2, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones. Hits were recorded in the Industrial and Kyiv districts of the city; two children were injured as a result of the attack.
