In the Kyiv region, rescue workers are continuing to battle large-scale fires that broke out at logistics facilities as a result of Russian shelling on August 28. Sunday, August 30, has been declared a Day of Mourning in the region for those who died as a result of the enemy attacks.
The State Emergency Service, the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Timur Tkachenko, and Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi provided updates on the progress of rescue operations and safety measures.
According to the State Emergency Service, following overnight shelling, Russian troops launched a second strike on the region, resulting in fires at logistics facilities.
Since early this morning, emergency responders have been working at several locations simultaneously, extinguishing the fires and clearing debris.
According to Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi, the rescue operation is ongoing, and approximately 400 people have already been evacuated from dangerous areas.
On Sunday, August 30, a Day of Mourning for the victims of the Russian attacks has been declared throughout Kyiv Oblast.
As a sign of mourning and remembrance, the State Flags of Ukraine will be flown at half-mast throughout the Kyiv region. Entertainment events will be restricted. I ask that you treat this with respect and understanding, and also refrain from playing loud music in the region

Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal investigation into the enemy strikes and their consequences. An investigation into all the circumstances of the tragedy is currently underway.
In the fifth year of full-scale war, we cannot allow tragedies similar to the one that occurred in Vyshneve and this one in the Bucha district to happen again.

As a reminder, Russian forces continue to carry out massive, nearly nonstop drone strikes on the territory of the Kyiv region.
On August 28, 27 people were killed—including Taras Didych, the head of the Dmytrivka community—and another 42 were injured when an enemy drone struck and detonated at a facility in the village of Mila in the Bucha district.
On the morning of August 29, a 14-year-old girl was killed in a Russian strike in the Boryspil district.
