On the morning of Saturday, August 22, Russian troops launched two strikes on Zaporizhzhia. The first attack damaged a high-rise building, and the second strike caused a fire to break out.

This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

The enemy likely attacked the regional capital with strike drones: the Regional Military Administration had previously warned of the threat of their use. Explosions were then heard in the city, and Fedorov confirmed the attack.

As a result of the enemy strike, the roof and windows of a high-rise building were damaged, and a fire broke out on the top floor. Passenger cars parked near the building were also damaged.

Shortly after the first strike, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia again. The second round of shelling caused a fire.

Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties.

As a reminder, on August 21 in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians attacked a minibus and cars with drones: one person was killed and six were wounded. The occupiers also attacked a vehicle carrying humanitarian aid in the Kushuhum community of the Zaporizhzhia district with an FPV drone.

Later that night, on August 22, Russian troops attacked the village of Kushuhum with a drone. One man was killed in the strike, and four others were wounded.

In total, over the past 24 hours, on August 21, three people were killed as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. Another 19 civilians were injured, including two children.
