Russia struck the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel while journalists were on the air: five people were injured

On Tuesday, September 8, Russian troops launched a drone strike on the building housing the "We Are Ukraine" TV channel, which was broadcasting the "United News" telethon. There were casualties as a result of the enemy attack.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.
He said that Russia attacked the media outlet "right in the middle of the day, just as the journalists were on the air."
The president added that the building itself was partially destroyed, though firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze. Five people are currently known to have been injured.
"Suicide attacks" against media outlets mark a new chapter in Russia’s degradation, and Europe and the world must certainly respond to this. No attack on Ukraine or Ukrainians—on their very lives—can go unpunished. Russia must be stopped, and this is possible only through joint efforts.

Meanwhile, the TV channel added that the main impact was felt in the newsroom and employees’ offices.
