Russia is deliberately attacking border crossing points on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in an attempt to disrupt transportation links between the two countries and destabilize the region.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha.
According to the minister, this is already the third Russian attack on checkpoints along the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in the past two weeks.

The Ukrainian diplomat called on the international community to condemn Russia’s systematic attacks on civilian transport corridors and critical border infrastructure.
Sybiga also emphasized the danger that Ukrainian border guards and customs officers constantly face while performing their duties during Russian attacks.
According to him, employees of the State Border Guard Service and the State Customs Service of Ukraine deserve international solidarity and support.
As a reminder, Russian troops have once again struck an international border crossing. The crossing in question is “Vynogradivka–Vulkeniști,” located on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. Traffic has currently been suspended there, and customs formalities are not being processed.
