Russia attacked a Ukrzaliznytsia locomotive in the Odesa region for the second time today: a child was injured

In the Odesa region, Russian troops attacked a Ukrzaliznytsia locomotive for the second time on August 13. This time, a drone struck a diesel locomotive that was performing shunting operations. A child was injured in the attack.
This was reported by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted that Russian troops struck another passenger train in the Berezivsky district.
A fire broke out in a diesel locomotive and dry grass. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. Rescue workers, in coordination with other emergency services, evacuated 525 people, including 130 children. Seventeen buses from the State Emergency Service and city authorities were deployed to transport the passengers.

According to preliminary information, the strike occurred in an area similar to the one where a Russian drone attacked a passenger train locomotive earlier that morning. The train engineer and his assistant were killed in that incident.
Pertsovskyi noted that Russian troops are likely using drones controlled via video camera in this area. According to him, during the morning attack, the strike hit the locomotive’s cab directly.
As a reminder, today in the Odesa region, an enemy “Shahed” drone struck a passenger train directly. Two railway workers—the engineer and his assistant—were killed in the Russian attack. Passengers were evacuated from the train, including 67 children.
