On the afternoon of August 24, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. Eight people were wounded in the city following the explosions. Across the region, 11 people were wounded.

According to updated information from the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the occupiers carried out yet another attack on Sloviansk. As a result of the attack, a 16-year-old girl sustained blast injuries and a contusion.

In addition, as a result of artillery shelling in Druzhkivka, three men aged 40, 47, and 50 sustained injuries (blast injuries and shrapnel wounds).

Earlier, Vadym Lyakh, head of the Sloviansk Municipal Administration, reported on the attack on Sloviansk.

According to him, four explosions were heard in the central part of the city.

There were seven explosions. Four of them occurred in the city center. Several people are known to have been wounded.

At least seven people were injured as a result of the strike. Among the injured is a boy born in 2010. All victims are receiving medical care.

We also recall that on Monday, August 24, Russian troops struck a residential building in Chernihiv. The regional military administration emphasized that the enemy’s attack took place on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
