Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga responded to Vladimir Putin's statement regarding the alleged capture of Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that many geopolitical issues are currently being decided in Donbas, and that the region itself is the central issue in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

On the morning of August 31, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. The occupying forces used a FAB-500 aerial bomb.

On the afternoon of August 26, a series of powerful explosions rocked occupied Donetsk. According to preliminary reports, one of the city’s districts was hit by a series of rocket strikes.

On the afternoon of August 24, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. Eight people were wounded in the city following the explosions. Across the region, 11 people were wounded.

The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated the ground phase of the operation to liberate the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove in the Oleksandrivka sector.

Russian strikes caused fires at industrial facilities in the Poltava region. In the Donetsk region, part of Sloviansk was left without power.

On the afternoon of August 16, Russian troops attacked Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and seven others were injured when a drone struck the post office building.

On the night of August 15–16, Russian aircraft struck a residential area of Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, with high-explosive bombs. Two people were injured as a result of the enemy attack, and extensive damage was reported in the city.
