On the afternoon of August 16, Russian troops attacked Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and seven others were injured when a drone struck the post office building.

This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, and the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

It is noted that the Russian military used a “Geran-2” type UAV in the attack. The branch office building was damaged; the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

As a result of the strike, a 19-year-old employee was killed, and seven other civilians aged 23 to 42 sustained injuries of varying severity, including blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and concussions.

The Russians have once again struck a place where people go about their daily business. This is precisely how the enemy attempts to turn any ordinary moment into a deadly threat

The prosecutor’s office stated that a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings regarding a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As a reminder, on August 13, at least one person was killed and 22 others were wounded as a result of a massive attack by Russian forces on the Kramatorsk community in the Donetsk region. During the massive airstrike on Kramatorsk, 10 FAB-250 bombs were dropped from a UMPK aircraft. The following were damaged: 24 apartment buildings and 57 private homes, 25 cars, a café, a store, warehouses, and garages.
