On the night of August 15–16, Russian aircraft struck a residential area of Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, with high-explosive bombs. Two people were injured as a result of the enemy attack, and extensive damage was reported in the city.

This was reported by the Sloviansk City Military Administration and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to the Military Administration, the Russian army used FAB-250 high-explosive aerial bombs, as well as FPV drones and “Molniya-2” UAVs, to strike the city.

As a result of the shelling carried out by the enemy throughout the past 24 hours, two local residents were injured. A 47-year-old man in serious condition was transferred to Dnipro for treatment, while a 71-year-old woman received outpatient medical care.

The State Emergency Service reported that as a result of high-explosive aerial bombs striking the residential sector at two addresses during the night, fires broke out—a residential building and a farm building caught fire. Firefighters contained the blaze, but were forced to suspend operations due to the high risk of further enemy strikes.

In total, over the course of the day, at least 30 private homes, an administrative building, and private vehicles were damaged in the city.

As a reminder, on August 11 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Russian occupiers launched a strike using a “Molniya-2” drone against the central market in Sloviansk. At least four civilians – three women and one man – were injured as a result of the enemy shelling.

And on August 14, in Kramatorsk, the Russians dropped 10 aerial bombs on residential buildings, killing one person and injuring more than 20 others.
