“Russian barbarians are already at your gates, dear partners”: The Foreign Ministry responds to Russia’s attack on a gas station near the Ukrainian-Polish border

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha responded to the aggressor’s latest provocation near the borders of the EU and NATO.

Valentyna Chernysh, a spokesperson for the Volyn Customs Office, told “Suspilne” that falling debris sparked a fire inside the gas station building and in the parking lot where trucks were parked. Meanwhile, Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, clarified that no hits were recorded on the buildings of the “Yagodin” border crossing itself, according to “Interfax-Ukraine.”

During the air raid alert, border crossing operations were suspended for safety reasons, and people were evacuated to shelters. As of now, the “Yagodin” border crossing has resumed operations and is functioning normally.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha called this shelling yet another act of intimidation against the Western world.

The head of the foreign ministry called on the international community to stop half-measures and take uncompromising steps in response:

• Impose a complete trade embargo against Russia;
• Impose a total ban on entry for Russian citizens;
• Impose the strictest possible sanctions on the Russian military-industrial complex.

Sybiga emphasized that raising the cost of the war for the Kremlin to an unacceptable level is the only way to stop further Russian aggression.
