The Ukrainian Memorial and Search Center "Doly" has received permission from Poland to conduct search operations in the village of Laskiv, in the Lublin Voivodeship—at the site of the probable burial of Ukrainian civilians killed in March 1944.

On the night of August 31, a fire broke out at the WB Electronics plant in the Polish city of Skarżysko-Kamienna. The company manufactures drones used by the Polish and Ukrainian armies.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that Russia's imperial ambitions must remain in the past, and that Ukraine and Poland will no longer allow Moscow to turn them into its colonies.

Today, disputes about the past have almost entirely overshadowed the memory of those times when Ukrainians and Poles fought side by side.

Emotions and resentment are running high again in the Ukrainian media these days. Many people are outraged: Why weren’t Ukrainian troops invited to participate in the grand military parade in Warsaw on Polish Armed Forces Day?

In the Polish capital, a Ukrainian woman was injured during a confrontation with a group of Polish adults. They allegedly reacted negatively to her Ukrainian accent and knocked out two of her front teeth. 

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that a Russian citizen recruited by Russian intelligence services had been detained in Warsaw. His mission was to kill a U.S. citizen and a Ukrainian citizen.

On August 7, a funeral was held in Kyiv for Polish volunteer Marek Rusek-Wolski, who was killed in Kharkiv as a result of a Russian drone attack.

In any country, there will always be a risk that a Ukrainian will be treated as an outsider, as a migrant, as someone who can be humiliated or persecuted. There’s nothing new about this. People from many different nations face similar situations when they live outside their home countries.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the issue of intercepting Russian missiles while they are still over Ukrainian territory requires serious discussion.
