Fires broke out in three districts of Kyiv after UAV debris fell

On the evening of August 31, debris from drones was reported to have fallen in three districts of Kyiv.
Update at 10:10 p.m.
According to the State Emergency Service, fires in the Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the city have been extinguished:
- Holosiivskyi District: a 100-square-meter area of grass on the roadside was on fire;
- Solomyanskyi District: a fire involving trees and grass covering an area of 10 square meters.
Update 9:30 p.m.
According to Vitali Klitschko, a fire also broke out in the Darnytskyi district due to a drone crash.
In addition, debris was found in non-residential areas at two addresses in the Holosiivskyi district. There are no fires.
The Kyiv City Military Administration and Mayor Vitali Klitschko had previously reported on the consequences of the attacks.
In the Solomyanskyi district, a non-residential building caught fire after debris fell on it.
In the Holosiivskyi district, UAV debris fell onto the side of the road, causing grassy ground in an open area to catch fire.
Emergency services are heading to the scenes. Details regarding the consequences are being clarified.
As a reminder, the Kyiv Defense Council adopted an appeal to the government regarding the update of security protocols in the capital. The Kyiv City State Administration proposes changing the traffic rules for bridges during air raid alerts, allowing the full operation of the metro’s green line, and easing the curfew.
