In the Dnipro district of Kyiv, a drone strike caused a fire in a 9-story apartment building. The total number of casualties as of September 9 rose to 16, including two children.

Update at 8:30 p.m.

According to the State Emergency Service, the number of casualties has risen to five. Rescue workers have completed their operations.

Update 6:07 p.m.

According to the National Police, a 70-year-old female resident of the building was killed in the attack. The following were injured: a 74-year-old woman, a 69-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, and one other person.

Update 6:00 p.m.

According to the State Emergency Service, one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of the attack.

In the Dnipro district, a fire broke out in a nine-story residential building, affecting floors 1 through 4; windows were shattered and the facade was damaged. Rescue workers extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 30 square meters.

The Kyiv City State Administration reports that a relief center for victims has been set up. It is located at 19 Khorolska Street (Lyceum No. 42). The center provides advice on how to complete the necessary paperwork, allows residents to file claims for damaged property, and offers the necessary informational support.

Update 5:25 p.m.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the number of people injured in the strike on a high-rise building in the Dniprovskyi District has risen to three.

Two children are among the injured. Medical assistance is being provided to a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko had previously reported on the attack.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that a woman was killed as a result of the enemy attack. One other person is known to have been injured.

As a reminder, earlier in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, a drone was reported to have struck a 24-story residential building on the 11th or 12th floor.
