Attack on Kyiv on September 2 State Emergency Service

On the morning of September 2, Russian troops launched attack drones at the capital. As a result of the enemy attack, a high-rise residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi District and warehouses in the Holosiivskyi District were partially destroyed and caught fire. Medical and educational facilities were also damaged. There are reports of casualties.

This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the Kyiv City State Administration on Telegram.

Update at 7:00 p.m.

According to the State Emergency Service, 13 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on August 2. Several districts of Kyiv were hit.

A fire broke out in the Holosiivskyi district. Rescue workers extinguished the blaze in some warehouse facilities and put out fires in three parked trucks.

Update 3:40 p.m.

According to Klitschko, the number of people injured as a result of the attack on the capital on September 2 has risen to 10. Nine people are receiving medical care in hospitals.

As of 2:40 p.m., it is known that nine people were injured as a result of the Russian strike. The prosecutor’s office added that damage from the strikes was recorded in the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital.

Earlier, Klitschko reported seven wounded, five of whom were hospitalized. He also reported that, according to preliminary information, a drone struck a warehouse building in the Holosiivskyi district.

As of 11:50 a.m., it was reported that the number of casualties had risen to five.

Three injured people are currently in the city’s hospitals. One of the medical facilities sustained damage as a result of the attack—some of its windows were shattered.

According to preliminary reports, four people were injured in the enemy attack.

It is reported that Russia struck a six-story building in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district with a drone. A fire also broke out nearby in a three-story building.

According to Klitschko, fire and rescue services are already on the scene.

The Kyiv City State Administration added that as a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out on the grounds of an educational institution in the Holosiivskyi district. In addition, the Russians damaged a medical facility in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
