In Kyiv, a gas station was struck by Russian forces for the second time this morning: there are injured people, and one victim died in the hospital

On the morning of Tuesday, September 15, Russian troops launched attack drones at Kyiv. As a result of the attack, one drone struck a non-residential area, while another drone attacked a gas station. Eight people were injured in the morning attack, and one of them died.
This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the Kyiv City State Administration on Telegram.
Update, 10:35 a.m.:
One of the victims of this morning’s enemy attack on the capital has died in the hospital. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this. He clarified that the man had been hospitalized in critical condition.
Update, 9:50 a.m.:
According to the State Emergency Service, 8 people have been injured as a result of Russian strikes on the capital since the start of the day.
The agency reported the following consequences:
- Solomyanskyi District: a non-residential building was hit; no fire broke out. Six people were injured.
- Darnitskyi District: A strike was recorded at a gas station; one person was injured. A minor fire broke out, which was extinguished using fire extinguishers.
- Holosiivskyi District: A strike occurred at a gas station. One person was injured. The fire was extinguished.
- Obolon District: A non-residential building caught fire. Firefighters brought the blaze under control.
Update, 9:10 a.m.:
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that as of 09:10, the number of casualties in Kyiv had risen to 6.
Previously, four people were reported injured.
According to the mayor, the drone reportedly struck a non-residential area in the Solomyanskyi District of the capital. Emergency services are heading to the scene of the incident.
Meanwhile, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration, a drone crashed at a gas station in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district. Initially, one casualty was reported from this strike.
Klitschko also noted that heavy smoke had filled the area. He later added that three more people had been injured. In total, four people were injured in Kyiv this morning.
As a reminder, on the night of September 15, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with strike drones. Preliminary reports indicate that strikes were recorded in two districts, with one casualty. In the Darnytskyi district, a gas station was hit.
